Yeah, it's true, this figure is totally rockin' that G1 Arcee flavor and that's despite the black trim she's wearing now. I know a lot of people were disappointed that this figure is SO G1 rather than the IDW designs s being used in the current Generations line, but honestly I'm glad they went with this look and I'll be ordering the Takara version as well for that full G1 color scheme but I do not feel bad about buying the domestic release. For starters this figure is so well designed. I don't feel like parts are going to dislodge from the figure while posing it and while the figure is small meaning the figure is rather thin, it's very well proportioned and the arms don't feel fragile in the slightest to me, though I have heard of some issues with the hands that have the thumb molded to the other fingers breaking, resulting in Hasbro retooling the mold so they aren't connected, I haven't had any issues so far with this version. It's making me wonder which version they will use for the Takara mold. The light piping for the eyes is delicious and works SO damn well and the balance in robot mode is fantastic and that's WITH most of her vehicle mode being folded on her back. This version takes some liberties in her coloring and now sports black trim all over the place like her neck, back, hip joints, knees and even fingerless black glove looking sections of her hands but the sculpt is pure G1 movie Arcee all the way, even transforming into a two-seater open top sports car from the far distant future of ! She has some amusing design characteristics which definitely show the heritage by the Japanese designer that designed this toy, such as the conspicuously curvy mid-drift complete with a belly button, arched back and apparently the designer made specific demands on the leg shapes so they look more "feminine" Personally the only real issue I have is her larger blaster being color molded in pink and then being painted black and gray, but due to her hands shapes, they left the pegs and handles of the gun in pink Only other issue was lack of a robot mode Autobot symbol
